What is a virtual guide?

A virtual guide is a numerical application that lets you move around the country thanks to a GPS and pre-programmed route in the system. For each of our Autotour by car, the route was recorded in the GPS and you'll indicating the way to go to your hotel, which is already booked for every night of your tour. Our virtual guide also includes a series of information that will detail further down this page (eg. Hotel, gas station etc.). Ultimately, the virtual guide is your assistant at the wheel so you do not miss any essential place of this wonderful country.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The virtual guide works using an internet connection and a GPS that lets you know with precision your geographical position with the help of satellites. The application allows them to consult a series of information regarding your trip: hotel location and major tourist attractions, for example. All information on the tour was taped earlier in the application. Through this recording work, it emphasized the landmarks of the country that you can not miss during your journey.
In conclusion, the virtual guide functions as an interactive map where each GPS point tells you specific information.

WHAT IF I DO NOT HAVE INTERNET CONNECTION?

In Ecuador there are some remote areas without internet connection due to the topography of the country. Mountains of more than 5000 m or very dense tropical jungle may prevent access to the Internet in certain areas. Luckily, our road tours are covered to more than 90% by connection to the network. In case you do not have access to the internet, do not worry, the application will continue to teach you the way forward. The internet connection usually returns quickly.

During the Autotour can occur small inconveniences, a badly indicated road or a tire that is punctured. Do not worry, remember that you have assistance 24/7 H by calling our emergency number.
